This is our favorite restaurant. Genevieve and Katy (actually all the servers) are wonderful. The food is always first class and unique. The drinks are the best in the area. Fresh ingredients and interesting concoctions. They do not use mixes or artificial sweeteners. The 28 day aged burger and pork belly Bahn mi are two of our favorites. Seared tuna salad is wonderful also.

Really love their Cajun sauce, I normally get the shrimp Cajun Alfredo. Every time that has been delicious.
My main issue comes down to the service. First, they don't allow straws, so be forewarned you'll have to take your own (I just don't enjoy the thought of drinking from a cup 3000 others have). That is what it is though, no major big deal. The last time I was drinking just cranberry juice, and the two times before that when I got the same, it was free refills, I'm assuming because it came from the fountain gun at the bar. Well this time they were not free refills, and every time I got a refill, it was barely 3/4 from the top. If you're going to charge me for my drink, please actually fill the cup. I was also not told until my third one that it wasn't a free refill. So that was kind of annoying that it wasn't a) consistent with the other times I ate there, and b) not relayed to me until after asking for my third drink. -

We used to go to the Brickhouse several times a week. They have a great selection of beer and good food. However, I feel that the service has drastically gone downhill recently. A few weeks ago we waited over 90 minutes for our food and our party of 4 was comped 1 dessert as an 'I'm sorry for the wait' attempt. We overheard other tables around us discussing the downward trend of service.
They have also recently updated their menu. And by update I mean their prices have gone up significantly. They've removed the proteins from most of their salads and, while you can add them for an extra cost, $20 for a salad is just way too much, in my opinion. What used to be my favorite restaurant has now dropped way down on the list...we rarely ever go anymore. Maybe once a month or so. So disappointing. -

Absolutely love the Brick House. It's our favorite local restaurant. Great foods and fancy weekly specials. Some of our favorites are the Poutine and Sunrise Gorgonzola Burger. Everything is fresh and locally sourced!

Service was slow and inattentive.
I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, but was informed a few minutes later that they had run out of chicken strips and would grilled chicken be ok?
Sounded healthier so I went for it.
The breading of the chicken strips likely will have absorbed some of the half gallon of sauces in the wrap. Instead it ended up dripping down my wrists and on my shirt. I will say that it was tasty, just super messy. My dining companions who order burgers also found them to be too messy to pick up, and had better luck with knife and fork. The onion straws on the burgers were noted as delicious. First draft beer was exceptionally flat and had to be returned.
Overall, there were some good pieces but they could not be assembled into a satisfying meal.
Not worth the price of admission ( which ranks among the highest in the Skook)
